Description

This is an illustration to a manga I am working on together with a good friend of mine. The manga is called Avion. We have not started drawing the actual manga yet, as we are soon in the finishing process of planning the story. When that is done, and all characters are designed, the pages will be drawn. It will be published on the Norwegian website www.nettserier.no, which is a place for Norwegians to post their comic projects.

Until the manga itself is started, we will be publishing illustrations, such as this, and designs. If you don't mind the Norwegian language; feel free to check in to http://www.nettserier.no/avionmanga/1209592800/once in a while to look for updates!

interesting way to paint manga

the titles and signs need more work to make it more stylish .

Very nice, the colouring, and the faces are very good. The bodies however may need a bit more work . This is a very dinamic scene and the bodies look rather static and lack expressivity. You may want to improve that by painting form reference, sports magazines are good for that.

Cool work. I can feel the excitement.

Would work more on the lettering/text.

I think the characters could use more contrast.

Hands could use a bit more work as well.

I I didn't want to make the text too fancy, but I guess it is a little too simple. I shall try a different approach with the next illustration, which will be published soon.

Yeah, I've spent too much time with drawing only heads and faces, so I'm a little untraind in drawing dynamic poses. I am working on it.

Indeed, I can imagine that sports magazines are good as reference! I'll try that! Thanks.

Really like the expressions on the figures; Try to be more bold with your colors and values, however.

I'm in agreement with cgaddict on this one. Expression is well represented. Consider where you light source is coming from, and create darker values appropriately. Just need a little more polish.^_^
